Metro Extreme Discount Promotions
In a time of high inflation and economic stagnation, Metro took a proactive step to improve their business outlook while serving customers with solutions to stretch their dollars. Campaigns were proposed to source and distribute low priced goods at hefty discounts. A discount concept store was proposed dubbed Metro A•D•C, or Automatic Discount Centre. We explored ideas for Hyper-Specials, Mix 'n Match to move oddments and remnants ... ... and goods marked down so low we could only label them as Ridiculous! "Metro Hyper-Specials" and "Metro Ridiculous Sale" were selected for development to final artwork and launched. "Mix n Match" was hived off as a separate campaign. Metro Mix 'n Match ran as a separate campaign.
