Image
In keeping with its status as one of the most sought after office locations in the city centre the Cathay Building ad presents a clean dignified layout devoid of clutter and superfluous graphic devices. Only the upper part of the facade and the sumptuous lobby with its bronze statues are included as visual elements. Interior design for the Penthouse, The Cathay Building

Image
These were the plans submitted for the redecoration of The Cathay Organisation's Penthouse on the top floor of the iconic Cathay Building then undergoing refurbishment.  The spacious Lounge features plush Italian seating from B&B Italia contrasting with antique huanghuali Chinese oxbow armchairs in an eclectic mix of east and west. Walls are wood panelled or surfaced with textured wall paper, floor fully carpeted, and windows with twin-layered drapes.   The meeting area is decorated with rattan seating with a marble-topped hexagonal coffee shop table. A showcase displays collectibles and books. The sideboard is a huanghuali antique piece flanked by tricolour Tang Dynasty horse-figure seats. The Dining Room is laid out with two rosewood dining sets and a sideboard. Antique plates, wall sculpture and framed calligraphic scroll provide the design accents.  A privacy corner is furnished with plush seating and a sculptural light fixture.
