National Home Appliances Ads
National (now known as Panasonic) electronic and home appliances were top sellers in Singapore from the 1960s. The neon-lit National Tower which houses the biggest product showroom in town was a controversial structure as it stuck out as an architectural anomaly in the civic district dominated by historic buildings. With its neon-lit facade towering over the City Hall and St Andrew's Cathedral, it was a photographer's nightmare.
